Terms and Conditions
1.DEFINITIONS AND INTERPRETATION
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions:
- “Unique Tours Ireland”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to Unique Tours Ireland Limited. Company Registration Number 735593, having its registered office at 46 Doon Heights, Ballyconnell, Co.Cavan, Ireland and which is incorporated in Ireland with limited liability.
- “Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to the person or persons who have made a confirmed booking with Unique Tours Ireland.
- “Tour” means any private tour, group tour, or bespoke tour service provided by Unique Tours Ireland.
- “Contract” means the agreement formed between the Client and Unique Tours Ireland upon confirmation of booking.
- It is the responsibility of each Client to read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as your booking is legally bound by them.
1.2 Unique Tours Ireland is an incoming (“land only”) tour operator. We provide
travel services within Ireland only and are NOT responsible for:
- International flights to/from Ireland
- Visa applications or immigration matters
- Airport transfers (unless specifically included in your tour package)
- Travel insurance for international travel
- Any services outside the Republic of Ireland
We arrange and operate tours exclusively within Ireland. You are responsible
for all arrangements to reach Ireland and depart from Ireland.
1.3 Your statutory rights under Irish law are not affected by these Terms and Conditions.
2.BOOKING & PAYMENT
2.1 Deposit Requirements
A non-refundable deposit of 20% per person is required within 3 days of making a reservation to confirm your booking.
2.2 A binding contract is formed only when we have received your deposit payment and sent you written confirmation of your booking by email.
2.3 It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of all booking details upon receipt of your confirmation documents, including dates, names, and tour itinerary.
2.4 Final Payment
Full payment must be received no later than 60 days prior to your tour departure date. If final payment is not received by the due date, your reservation will be automatically cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
2.5 Payment Methods
Unique Tours Ireland accept payment by Visa, Mastercard, and American Express via our secure online payment system, or by electronic bank transfer. All prices are quoted and payable in Euros (€).
Credit card processing fees are included in the tour price.All credit card transactions are handled securely via Stripe
3.TRAVEL INSURANCE
3.1 We strongly recommend all clients to have comprehensive travel insurance covering, at minimum:
- Tour cancellation and curtailment
- Medical expenses and emergency repatriation
- Personal accident and injury
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Flight disruption and delays
- COVID-19 related expenses
3.2 It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their insurance policy adequately covers all activities included in their tour itinerary.
3.3 Unique Tours Ireland reserves the right to request proof of adequate travel insurance prior to the start of the tour. Failure to provide proof, if requested, may result in the client being denied participation in the tour without any liability on the part of Unique Tours Ireland.
4.CANCELLATION BY THE CLIENT
4.1 All cancellations must be notified to us in writing (by email or post). Cancellation charges apply from the date written notification is received by Unique Tours Ireland:

4.2 Once a tour has commenced, no refunds will be made for any unused services, sectors, or portions of the tour.
4.3 All refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of cancellation, less any applicable card processing fees (6%).
5.CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING
5.1 Changes by the Client
5.1.1 Name Changes:
No fee applies for name changes, subject to availability.
5.1.2 Tour Date Changes:
- Changes to tour dates are permitted up to 60 days before departure, subject to availability on the new dates.
- No administration fee applies for the first change.
- A fee of €100 per person applies for subsequent changes.
- Any difference in tour cost between original and new dates must be paid by the client.
- Changes within 60 days of departure are not permitted and will be treated as a cancellation.
5.1.3 Private Tour Modifications:
Before deposit payment: unlimited changes to itinerary are permitted.
After deposit payment: the tour itinerary is finalized. Changes to dates, itinerary, or participant numbers may not be possible and will be subject to availability and additional costs.
5.2 Changes by Unique Tours Ireland
5.2.1 We reserve the right to modify tour itineraries to accommodate unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to:
- Closure of attractions or venues
- Road closures or safety concerns
- Weather conditions
- Force majeure events
5.2.2 We will inform you of any major changes as soon as reasonably possible. A major change includes:
- Change in tour start or end time by more than 12 hours
- Change in tour location
- Change to lower standard accommodation
5.2.3 In the event of a major change, you will have the option to:
- Accept the amended arrangements
- Transfer to an alternative tour (subject to availability)
- Cancel and receive a full refund of payments made to Unique Tours Ireland
6.CANCELLATION BY UNIQUE TOURS IRELAND
6.1 We will only cancel tours in exceptional circumstances including:
- Government restrictions preventing tour operations
- Force majeure events making it impossible to safely operate the tour
- Insufficient bookings to operate a group tour (minimum numbers not reached)
6.3 Refunds will be processed within 14 days of cancellation notification.
6.2 If we cancel your tour, you will be offered:
- A full refund of all payments made to Unique Tours Ireland (less 6% card processing fees), OR
- Transfer of full payment to an alternative tour date or tour package
6.3 We are not liable for any consequential losses including, but not limited to, flight costs, accommodation booked independently, or other travel expenses incurred by you.
7.TOUR PARTICIPATION AND CONDUCT
7.1 To ensure an enjoyable experience for all participants, we reserve the right to refuse participation or remove any client from a tour whose conduct:
- Is incompatible with the safety or enjoyment of other tour participants
- Involves intoxication or disruptive behavior
- Is disrespectful or destructive toward tour staff, venue representatives, other clients, or property
7.2 In such cases, no refund will be provided, and the client will be responsible for all costs incurred for alternative transportation and accommodation.
7.3 Clients must comply with all instructions from tour guides and follow safety guidelines at all times.
8.PARTICIPANTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
8.1 Travelers with special needs, disabilities, or medical conditions must inform Unique Tours Ireland at the time of booking.
8.2 Passengers requiring particular assistance must be accompanied by a qualified travel companion capable of providing the necessary care. Unique Tours Ireland and our driver-guides are unable to provide individualized assistance.
8.3 Tour vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair lifts or ramps. All participants must be able to board vehicles independently or with minimal assistance from their travel companion.
8.4 Access for visitors with disabilities may be restricted at certain heritage sites and attractions in Ireland. We will advise you of any known accessibility limitations during the booking process.
9.MINORS (UNDER 18 YEARS)
9.1 Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times during the tour.
9.2 The accompanying adult is responsible for:
- Supervision of the minor during all tour activities
- Ensuring the minor complies with all safety instructions
- Signing liability waivers on behalf of the minor
9.3 Age restrictions and child discounts vary by tour type. Please enquire at time of booking.
10.DIETARY REQUIREMENTS AND ALLERGIES
10.1 While we make every effort to select restaurants and catering providers that can accommodate various dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee that every establishment can cater to every specific need.
10.2 Clients with food allergies or intolerances must:
- Notify us at the time of booking
- Communicate requirements directly to restaurant staff at each meal
- Carry necessary medications (e.g., EpiPens) for emergency use
10.3 We cannot guarantee the complete absence of allergen traces in prepared meals.
11.ACCOMMODATION
11.1 Hotel and accommodation arrangements are provided as described in your tour itinerary.
11.2 Accommodation is organized exclusively for the individuals listed on your confirmation invoice (or the most recent amendment invoice issued). Sharing the accommodation or allowing anyone not named on the invoice is not permitted. You are responsible for any damages to the accommodation or its contents incurred during your stay. These costs may need to be settled locally.
11.3 Unique Tours Ireland reserves the right to substitute hotels with accommodations of comparable categories. Should a specific hotel be unavailable due to limited inventory, we will make every effort to secure alternative lodging of a similar category or higher standard if necessary.
11.4 Single Room Supplements:
- Single occupancy is subject to availability and additional charges.
- Supplements vary by tour and will be confirmed at time of booking.
11.5 For pre- and post-stay nights, estimated rates are provided based on standard hotel availability. Please note that rates may vary depending on seasonality and availability once the hotel confirms the booking.
11.6 Rooms are typically twin or double occupancy. Triple or family rooms may be available on request.
12.TRANSPORTATION
12.1 Tour vehicles vary based on group size and may include luxury coaches, minibuses, or private vehicles.
12.2 We reserve the right to use alternative vehicles to those advertised, provided they meet equivalent comfort and safety standards.
12.3 Smoking, vaping, and e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited in all tour vehicles.
13.LUGGAGE
13.1 Luggage is carried at the owner’s risk throughout the tour unless covered by your travel insurance.
13.2 Each passenger is permitted:
- One large suitcase (maximum dimensions: 75cm/30″ on longest side)
- One piece of hand luggage
13.3 Additional luggage may be possible on private tours if requested at time of booking, subject to vehicle capacity.
14.ATTRACTIONS AND ITINERARY
14.1 Unique Tours Ireland reserves the right to modify visits, entertainment, and other features if venues are closed or inaccessible due to circumstances beyond our control, or for the general safety and convenience of travellers. On specific dates, including religious holidays and national celebrations, certain monuments and sites may be closed. During such times, touring itineraries may be adjusted accordingly. Additionally, unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions may cause last-minute changes, sometimes even after arrival in Ireland, which could affect the sequence of the tour and the locations visited.
14.2 Where possible, alternative arrangements will be made for closed or restricted sites.
14.3 We will not issue refunds or cost adjustments for:
- Attractions undergoing renovations or maintenance
- Sites closed for public holidays or special events
- Attractions that clients choose not to visit
- Accommodations not used if clients join late or leave early
15.WEATHER CONDITIONS AND FORCE MAJEURE
15.1 Certain activities and aspects of tours are weather-dependent. We cannot be held responsible for weather conditions affecting tour activities.
15.2 “Force Majeure” means circumstances beyond our reasonable control including:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather
- Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergencies
- War, terrorism, civil unrest, or government restrictions
- Strikes, industrial action
- Supplier failures
15.3 We will not be liable for failure to perform our obligations due to Force Majeure. In such cases, we will endeavor to provide alternative arrangements where possible.
16.HEALTH, SAFETY, AND FITNESS
16.1 Tours involve varying levels of physical activity. It is your responsibility to ensure you are physically capable of participating in all tour activities.
16.2 Clients with medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate must disclose this information at time of booking. We may require a medical certificate.
16.3 We assume no responsibility for medical care provided to you during the tour. You are responsible for all costs of medical treatment and related transportation.
16.4 Participation in specific activities (hiking, adventure activities, etc.) is at your own discretion and risk. Please ensure your travel insurance covers such activities.
17.PHOTOGRAPHS AND MARKETING
17.1 We may take photographs and videos during tours for promotional and marketing purposes.
17.2 By booking with us, you consent to the use of images and videos in which you appear in our brochures, website, social media, and advertising materials.
17.3 If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used for marketing, please inform your tour guide at the start of the tour.
18.COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
18.1 If you have a complaint during your tour, you must notify your tour guide or driver-guide immediately so we can attempt to resolve the issue.
18.2 If the matter cannot be resolved during the tour, you must submit your complaint in writing to Unique Tours Ireland within 28 days of your tour end date.
18.3 We will acknowledge your complaint within 7 working days and provide a full response within 28 days.
18.3 Failure to follow this complaints procedure may affect your ability to claim compensation and may result in forfeiture of potential refunds.
19.LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
19.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall exclude or limit our liability where such liability cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 or applicable Irish law.
19.2 Subject to clause 19.1, Unique Tours Ireland shall be responsible for the proper performance of the travel services included in your tour package in accordance with the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018.
19.3 Without prejudice to the above, Unique Tours Ireland shall not be liable for any loss, damage or claim arising from:
- Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers or service providers where such services do not form part of a package for which we are responsible under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018;
- Personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from circumstances beyond our control
- delays, cancellations or changes caused by airlines, ferry operators or other transport providers, where liability is governed by applicable international conventions or regulations;
- events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, pandemics, epidemics, strikes, civil unrest, governmental actions, war or threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, or transport disruptions, or other force majeure events;
- the Client’s own actions, omissions, negligence, failure to follow reasonable instructions, comply with local laws, health and safety requirements, or failure to exercise reasonable care;
- independent travel arrangements made by the Client before, during or after the tour which are not booked through Unique Tours Ireland;
- any loss or damage which could have been avoided had reasonable steps been taken by the Client to minimise or mitigate such loss.
19.4 Subject to the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 and applicable Irish law, where Unique Tours Ireland is found liable for any loss, damage or claim arising out of or in connection with a tour organised and operated by us within Ireland, our total maximum liability shall be limited to no more than twice the total cost of the tour booked.
This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury, or to any loss or damage caused by our negligence, wilful misconduct, or in any circumstances where liability cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under Irish or EU law.
For the avoidance of doubt, no compensation will be payable for disappointment, subjective dissatisfaction, or loss of enjoyment where all tour services are provided as described and the loss is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to closures of attractions, weather conditions, strikes, transport disruptions, or acts of third-party suppliers.
Where a claim relates to services provided by a third party and compensation is limited under an applicable international convention or regulation, such limits shall apply.
19.5 Unique Tours Ireland will maintain appropriate public liability and tour operator insurance in accordance with Irish law prior to the commencement of any tour.
20.THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
20.1 Many services included in your tour (accommodation, restaurants, activities, attractions) are provided by independent third-party suppliers.
20.2 Such suppliers operate under their own terms and conditions and limitations of liability. Any contracts for such services are directly between you and the supplier.
20.3 While we cannot accept responsibility for third-party services, we will provide reasonable assistance in resolving disputes.
21.PASSPORT, VISA, AND TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
21.1 It is your responsibility to ensure you hold:
- A valid passport (with at least 6 months validity from tour end date)
- All necessary visas and entry permits
- Required vaccination certificates
- All other travel documentation
21.2 We are not responsible for any costs, losses, or consequences arising from your failure to obtain correct documentation.
21.3 You must comply with customs, immigration, and foreign exchange regulations of all countries visited.
22.GRATUITIES
22.1 Gratuities for tour guides, driver-guides, and service providers are not included in tour costs.
22.2 Tipping is at your discretion but is customary in Ireland for good service.
23.PRICE VALIDITY
23.1 All prices quoted are valid at the time of booking and are subject to availability. Please note that prices on our website are updated several times per day and apply only to new bookings.
23.2 We reserve the right to adjust prices. However, once your booking is confirmed and deposit paid, the tour price will not increase except in cases of government-imposed tax changes.

- Meals as specified in itinerary
24.2 Unless explicitly stated in your tour itinerary, the following are NOT included:
- International flights to/from Ireland
- Airport arrival/departure transfers (unless specified)
- Irish visa applications or entry requirements
- Travel insurance (you must arrange independently)
- Meals not specified in the itinerary
- Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) except where specified
- Entrance fees to attractions not listed in itinerary
- Optional activities and excursions not listed in your itinerary
- Items of a personal nature (laundry, telephone calls, room service, etc.)
- Gratuities
- Personal expenses
25.GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
25.1 These Terms and Conditions and all contracts between you and Unique Tours Ireland are governed by the laws of Ireland.
25.2 Any disputes arising from your booking or tour shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
25.3 If you are unsuccessful in any legal action against us, you agree to pay all our costs including legal fees.
26.DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
26.1 We process your personal data in accordance with Irish and EU data protection laws (GDPR).
26.2 Your data will be used solely for the purposes of providing your tour and related services.
26.3 We retain your personal data for a period of 7 years following your tour for accounting and legal compliance purposes, after which it will be securely deleted.

27.SEVERABILITY
27.1 If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
28.ENTIRE AGREEMENT
28.1 These Terms and Conditions, together with your booking confirmation and tour itinerary, constitute the entire agreement between you and Unique Tours Ireland.
28.2 No variations to this agreement are valid unless agreed in writing by a director of Unique Tours Ireland.
29.UPDATES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
29.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
29.2 Your booking will be subject to the Terms and Conditions in effect at the time of your booking.
